“Battle for the future of this nation”: RAV correspondent flags rising unrest in Portland around ICE facility
Portland, Oregon – October 25, 2025
Ben Bergquam, the hard-hitting correspondent for Real America’s Voice and host of Law & Border, has once again ignited national debate after releasing powerful new footage from Portland’s violent protests against Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). The footage, shared on Saturday, captures scenes that Bergquam shows reflect violence that America used to see in the news from faraway third-world countries only now, it’s on American soil.
Watch:
“The left claims that it’s ICE and the Trump Administration that are violent,” Bergquam says in the video’s voice-over. “But this is just more evidence from Portland showing you the truth. We are in a battle for the future of this nation against enemies within.”
The footage, filmed during last Saturday’s #NoKings protest, shows masked demonstrators dressed in black, waving anarchist and socialist banners, and launching projectiles at ICE personnel. Bergquam describes these groups as “the same individuals and organizations that invited the invasion” of the U.S. during Joe Biden’s presidency organizations he alleges have now been “weaponized” to destabilize the Trump Administration.
“They say ‘No Kings,’ but in reality, that’s exactly what they want to be: dictators over the people, violently attacking anyone who gets in their way,” Bergquam posted. “It’s time for ANTIFA, and all of the politicians and traitors that are funding this insurrection to be prosecuted.”
The video release comes at a tense moment for Portland, a city that has seen an uptick in unrest near the ICE facility on South Macadam Avenue. Local officials confirmed multiple arrests during the October 18 protests, where federal agents deployed tear gas and flash-bangs to disperse crowds that blocked entry points and vandalized government property.
President Trump’s administration has doubled down on law enforcement support in the city. Border Czar Tom Homan praised Bergquam’s coverage, stating that “the American people deserve to see what our agents are dealing with domestic extremists targeting law enforcement who are simply doing their jobs.” Homan has pledged increased coordination between ICE, the Department of Homeland Security, and National Guard units following a Ninth Circuit pause on Trump’s earlier troop deployment order.
Meanwhile, Portland’s city government has come under fire from conservatives for what they call “selective enforcement.” Earlier this month, the city issued a land-use violation notice to the ICE facility, claiming it held detainees longer than allowed under local zoning rules a move critics say is meant to obstruct federal operations. “Instead of going after criminals,” Bergquam argued, “Portland officials are punishing the very agencies protecting American sovereignty.”
Bergquam’s footage has already gone viral among grassroots and border security advocates as well as with the Trump administration, amplifying calls for investigations into the financial backers of ANTIFA-aligned groups. “This isn’t protest,” he said during a follow-up segment on Law & Border. “It’s insurrection an organized attack against our nation’s institutions and those defending our borders.”
The Trump administration has echoed that sentiment, with officials reaffirming a “zero tolerance” stance toward domestic extremist networks targeting federal officers. At a recent press briefing, the White House described the Portland events as “evidence of a coordinated attempt to intimidate and delegitimize lawful federal authority.”
Bergquam closed his video with a message that has since circulated widely among Trump supporters:
“Every traitor that gets in the way of securing this country needs to be arrested. God bless ICE.”
Whether the unrest in Portland will subside or intensify remains uncertain, but one thing is clear: Bergquam’s reporting has reignited the national conversation about law, order, and the fight for America’s borders.
