Ben Bergquam is Eyewitness as Tom Homan Predicts Rising Deportations when Trump Administration Targets Illegal Immigration

Daily deportation numbers are expected to climb as the Trump administration ramps up its crackdown on illegal immigration. Border Czar Tom Homan, speaking on ABC’s This Week with Martha Raddatz, revealed that current operations focus on violent offenders but will soon expand to include nonviolent illegal aliens.

Real Amerias Voice, Ben Bergquam, has had a first-hand experience with Homan:

“You’re going to see the numbers steadily increase,” Homan stated. “Right now, we’re concentrating on public safety threats and national security threats. But as we open up the aperture, there will be more arrests nationwide.”

The administration deported 500 illegal immigrants on its first day of operations, and Homan warns that this is just the beginning. Estimates suggest that 700,000 to over a million individuals with criminal records could be prioritized. However, Homan made it clear that no one in the U.S. illegally is exempt.

Here is some footage of one raid:

“If you’re in the country illegally, you’re on the table because it’s not okay to violate the laws of this country,” he explained. “Every time you enter illegally, you’ve committed a crime under Title Eight, U.S. Code 1325. If you’re here unlawfully, you’ve got a problem.”

Homan urged those without removal orders to leave voluntarily, emphasizing the administration’s resolve to enforce immigration laws.

The administration’s tough stance includes targeting sanctuary cities, which refuse to cooperate with federal immigration authorities. Homan criticized these cities, stating that their policies endanger not only communities but also federal agents and the illegal aliens themselves.

“Sanctuary cities force us into communities to find people,” he said. “When we find a bad guy, he’s often with others who aren’t criminal priorities. But if they’re here illegally, they’re going to be arrested too.”

President Trump’s immigration policy represents a sharp shift from his predecessor’s approach. His administration repealed key memos limiting ICE agents and has committed to reviewing parole policies.

Homan also linked a secure border to saving lives. He highlighted how stronger enforcement reduces sex trafficking and deaths along migration routes. “Under President Biden, we saw a record number of deaths at the border and a 600% increase in sex trafficking,” Homan argued.

The administration’s first deportation flights have already begun. White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt shared images of these flights, signaling the start of a new era in immigration enforcement.

Meanwhile, Homan and Acting Deputy Attorney General Emil Bove are in Chicago to oversee operations. Their visit underscores the administration’s commitment to targeting sanctuary cities and bolstering immigration enforcement.

Homan’s final message was clear: “A secure border saves lives. This isn’t just about policy; it’s about protecting Americans and preventing human suffering.”

President Trump’s immigration crackdown has drawn praise and criticism, but his administration appears determined to carry out its promise of prioritizing U.S. sovereignty and enforcing the rule of law.
