Biden-Harris Border Crisis Denial Exposed: FOIA Docs Reveal Daily Reports on Migrant Surge

In recent revelations obtained through a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuit, a bombshell set of 420 pages from U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) has surfaced, confirming what the Biden-Harris administration has long denied: a full-blown crisis at the southern border.

Despite President Biden’s and Vice President Kamala Harris’s public assertions that there is no crisis—Harris once stated emphatically, “the border is secure”—internal documents reveal a “Migration Crisis Action Team” within the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), producing daily reports on the worsening border situation.

These revelations starkly contrast with the administration’s consistent narrative, which, according to Jordan Sekulow, has downplayed the seriousness of the surge of undocumented migrants. Even as images of armed foreign gang members, violent confrontations with law enforcement, and horrifying instances of children being thrown over border walls flood the nightly news, the administration has held firm that the issue at the border is a “challenge,” not a crisis.

The FOIA documents span from 2021 to 2022 and include numerous redacted reports detailing the scale of daily border encounters and apprehensions of migrants attempting to enter the U.S. illegally. While many details remain hidden, it is clear that the reports were widely circulated among key CBP officials, including former Chief Counsel Scott B. Falk and Deputy Chief Counsel AnnMarie Highsmith, indicating high-level awareness of the severity of the situation.

The existence of these daily “Migration Crisis” reports raises serious questions about the administration’s transparency. How could the President and Vice President, with all this information at their disposal, continue to deny the existence of a border crisis to the American public? Sekulow suggests that acknowledging the crisis would have been tantamount to admitting that former President Donald Trump was right, a political admission that neither the Biden administration nor the radical Left could afford.

Further alarming is the revelation that nearly 200 individuals on the FBI’s Terror Watchlist were apprehended by CBP at the southern border. These statistics, coupled with the unknown number of “gotaways”—individuals who evaded capture—paint a grim picture of the national security risks involved. If such dangerous individuals have been caught, how many more have slipped through undetected? And how has the administration failed to act on this?

The article highlights that Sekulow and his team filed a FOIA request three years ago to obtain records of communications within DHS, demanding transparency on the administration’s downplaying of the border situation. After being ignored, they were forced to sue the administration, leading to the current release of documents.

In the face of overwhelming evidence, Sekulow argues that the Biden-Harris administration has engaged in a deliberate campaign of gaslighting the American public, attempting to discredit concerns over the border as “wild conspiracies” from conservatives. Yet, these newly surfaced reports provide irrefutable proof that the crisis was not only real but has been meticulously documented all along.

As more FOIA productions are expected in the coming months, this issue is far from resolved. The Biden administration’s handling of the border, particularly its refusal to acknowledge the gravity of the crisis, will likely continue to face scrutiny as Americans demand answers.
