Illegal Immigration Crime Wave Hits Chicago Suburbs: Terry Newsome and Ben Bergquam Expose the Crisis

OAKBROOK, IL – The migrant crisis has moved beyond Chicago and is now hitting its affluent suburbs. Terry Newsome and Real America’s Voice correspondent Ben Bergquam recently exposed the shocking reality unfolding at Oakbrook Mall, a high-end shopping center in DuPage County. Their conversation reveals a disturbing trend: illegal immigrants, particularly Venezuelans, are targeting suburban malls for crime.

“Since the Venezuelans have been flooding the state and Chicago, they’re coming out here,” Newsome told Bergquam. “They’re taking the trains, they’re taking cars, and because this is a high-end mall, it’s been a main target.”

Oakbrook Police Chief Bryan Strach has reportedly arrested over 120 illegal immigrants, many of whom claim asylum status under Biden’s policies. However, Newsome and Bergquam argue that this is a complete distortion of what asylum is meant to be.

“This is a morphed version of asylum, bastardizing what asylum really is,” Newsome said.

Criminals Running Loose in DuPage County

One of the most alarming cases involves four Venezuelan nationals recently arrested in Oakbrook. “They were caught stealing at Oakbrook Mall and are now sitting in DuPage County Jail,” Newsome explained. “The judge ordered to keep them locked up, but Governor J.B. Pritzker wants them released.”

Even more disturbing, one of the men had a colostomy bag due to a shootout in Chicago, yet he was still committing crimes.

“If that’s not bad enough, when police confiscate their vehicles, they’re finding ankle bracelets,” Newsome revealed. “These guys cut off their CBP-issued ankle monitors and are committing crimes in our malls. Law enforcement is literally finding the bracelets in their cars.”

Bergquam attempted to reach out to DuPage County State’s Attorney Bob Berlin for a response, but so far, nothing.

Pritzker’s Policies Are Failing Illinois

All of this, Newsome and Bergquam argue, is happening under Governor Pritzker’s watch. Yet the media refuses to hold him accountable.

“You hear stories about crime, but nothing tying it back to Pritzker,” Newsome said. “But make no mistake—his policies created this.”

What’s worse, Pritzker appears to be shifting his stance now that the political winds are changing. “The same guy who welcomed them with open arms is now backpedaling,” Bergquam noted. “Why? Because Donald Trump is president again.”

Newsome agreed. “Pritzker told the world, ‘You have to go through me to get here.’ Well, congratulations. Now, he’s begging for a way out. He invited the bad ones here—every single one of them.”

A National Crisis, Not Just Illinois

This isn’t just about Chicago or its suburbs. “It’s all over Illinois. It’s all over the country,” Bergquam warned. “And until we restore the rule of law and back President Trump and leaders like Tom Homan, it’s only going to get worse.”

The blame, they say, falls squarely on Joe Biden, the Democrats, and the leftist politicians who have turned America’s cities into lawless zones.

“This is a fight for the survival of our country,” Newsome concluded. “And we have four years to fix it.”
