Tyler Burleson, a Tennessee businessman who exposed the Biden administration’s neglect of flood victims, remains jailed under questionable charges. His business has been seized, and supporters are calling for justice.

Tyler Burleson was a man fighting for his community. After devastating floods in Tennessee, he stepped up. With his own resources, he provided aid, attended political hearings, and called out government failures. Then, after appearing on Steve Bannon’s WarRoom with Ben Bergquam to discuss the Biden administration’s abandonment of flood victims, he was jailed.
Coincidence? Many think not.
Ben Bergquam of Real America’s Voice, WarRoom and Frontline America has covered Burleson’s story. In a recent update from a live broadcast from CPAC, Bergquam didn’t mince words about this nasty situation:
“You guys are talking about injustice. I just got word. Tyler Burleson was working down there in Tennessee after the hurricanes. When they were ignored. When they were abandoned by former administration Joe Biden’s regime, he is still in jail. Tyler Burleson is still in jail. His entire business has been lost. They’ve kicked him out of his business. They’ve had to move everything out. Tennessee and North Carolina are still screwed after being abandoned by Joe Biden.”

Burleson’s imprisonment has raised serious questions. He was charged with passing bad checks, but supporters argue the charges are politically motivated. The legal process, they claim, was not properly followed. Now, former District Attorney Neal Pinkston has taken over the case and vows to fight for Burleson’s release.
Pinkston spoke about Burleson’s situation on WarRoom:
“He’s just been accused. He hasn’t been found guilty. And I think we will find that in his case, the correct procedure to charge someone with this type of crime wasn’t followed. Any bookkeeping errors were inadvertent. What’s important is that Tyler did everything he could for Appalachia after the hurricane when the federal government ignored them.”
Watch the WarRoom Interview featuring Pinkston for that discussion:
Burleson’s case underscores a larger issue. The Biden administration left communities in Tennessee and North Carolina stranded after the storms. FEMA failed to respond in time, and businesses like Burleson’s stepped up. Now, under the Trump administration, action is finally being taken.
We know the area has been under severe stress for a long time.
The new Secretary of Transportation in the Trump administration, Sean Duffy, recently announced the reopening of Interstate 40 in Tennessee and North Carolina after a five-month closure. Duffy posted:
“Today, Interstate 40 reopens in North Carolina and Tennessee after a five-month closure from Hurricane Helene. @POTUS made rebuilding these states a priority. @USDOT is committed to making that happen as fast and efficiently as possible.”
In a video statement, Duffy highlighted what we know was Biden’s neglect and Trump’s commitment to these forgotten communities:
“Days into the administration, President Trump told North Carolina, ‘You’re not forgotten.’ Today, we celebrate a critical step in rebuilding—reopening Interstate 40. I saw the devastation firsthand. Roughly 3 million cubic yards of material were washed away, taking two whole lanes with it. Clearing the red tape and rebuilding quickly was my priority.”
Watch:
But the victims of the flooding and political persecution are still suffering.
Burleson’s case remains urgent. Pinkston is pushing for his release, arguing that his charges are overblown and politically motivated. His supporters are raising funds for legal fees.
Burleson stood up for his community. Now, hopefully, his community will stand up for him.
We will update this story when new details become available.
