Border Wall Auction Sparks Outrage: Trump Allies Demand Action
The Biden administration is under fire for auctioning off unused border wall panels at a fraction of their value. Critics, including former officials and Trump’s pick for “Border Czar” like Tom Homan, accuse the Biden White House of deliberately undermining future border security efforts and sabotaging any incoming administration’s plans to complete the wall.
Ben Berquam and Tom Homan meet at AmFest to talk about the Border:
Border Wall Panels Sold for Pennies
Hundreds of steel panels, originally designated for border wall construction, are being sold via an auction company in Tucson, with bids starting as low as five dollars. Tom Homan, former acting ICE director and future Border “Watch Dog”, expressed in a recent AmFest Interview, showing outrage at the situation, stating:
“This is sabotage. They’re trying to make it harder for the next administration to secure the border.”
The legalities of the sale are murky. Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton’s injunction against the Biden administration’s handling of wall construction applies only to sections funded by Congressional appropriations. Paxton is now investigating whether the auction violates this order. If the auctioned materials fall under this ruling, legal action could halt further sales.
National Security Concerns
Homan detailed the severe implications of an unsecured border. He highlighted the sharp rise in human trafficking, fentanyl-related deaths, and unauthorized crossings by individuals on terror watch lists. “No one did more than President Trump to secure the border,” Homan declared. “Joe Biden is the first president in history to deliberately unsecure it. The consequences are devastating.”
In comparison to Trump’s administration, which saw 13 terror watch list crossings in four years, Homan cited over 300 such cases under Biden. He also noted that illegal crossings have reached record highs, exacerbating public safety and national security risks.
A Plan for Restoration
Homan emphasized his commitment to restoring border security when Trump returns to office. “We’re going to oversee the largest deportation operation this country has ever seen,” he said. He vowed to recover the auctioned panels, resume construction, and address the trafficking crisis. This includes locating over 340,000 trafficked children released to unverified sponsors under the current administration.
The Human Toll
The border crisis is more than a political issue; it’s a humanitarian disaster. Homan underscored the suffering endured by migrants. “Every night, a child dies or a woman is sexually assaulted trying to cross the border. This has to stop.” He also pointed out that completed border walls significantly reduce illegal crossings and drug flow, contrary to the administration’s claims.
Ben Bergquam’s Questions on Funding
During a discussion with correspondent and investigative reporter for Real America’s Voice (RAV) Ben Bergquam, the question of Congressional support for deportation funding arose. Homan was adamant. “I’ll call out any Republican who doesn’t back proper border funding. This operation will save money in the long run by eliminating the perpetual costs of supporting illegal immigrants.”
Bergquam is the host of RAV’s show Law and Border and an expert on the details and dynamics of the Southern Border invasion.
Homan criticized the billions spent on housing, feeding, and providing medical care for illegal immigrants while essential enforcement operations go unfunded. He urged citizens to pressure their representatives to prioritize border security funding.
The Stakes
Homan’s fiery description reflects the deep divisions over border policy between politicians and the American people. He called the current administration’s approach the “biggest national security vulnerability” in U.S. history, citing the 2.2 million “gotaways” who avoided capture. “They paid more to evade detection because they didn’t want to be vetted. That’s a massive red flag.”
Moving Forward
As the auction continues, Trump allies like Homan and Bergquam are rallying support for immediate action. Whether through legal injunctions, Congressional pressure, or public advocacy, they remain committed to securing the border and protecting American communities.
Homan’s message to critics was clear: “Call me what you want. I’m not going away. This fight is just beginning.”
