Key Point: In a stark exposé from Chicago, Ben Bergquam, host of Law and Border on Real America’s Voice, uncovered evidence of unsafe conditions, taxpayer betrayal, and a growing crisis caused by illegal immigration policies—highlighting a hidden shank outside a homeless shelter and interviews with neglected American citizens.
“Someone just stashed their shank outside, in case they need a knife when they get out,” Bergquam said, pulling a knife out of the ground outside a homeless shelter exposing why Americans need to be protected from illegals.

Chicago, IL – Ben Bergquam’s latest report from the streets of Chicago paints a grim picture of urban decay, government failure, and dangerous double standards.
“Just found this shank—someone stashed it outside,” Bergquam said, holding up what appeared to be a sharp steak knife. “They can’t take weapons inside the shelter, so they leave them here, in case they ‘need’ to stab someone when they come out.”
The location: the former American Islamic College, now a makeshift migrant shelter. It was once a religious site. Now, it’s one of many taxpayer-funded facilities housing illegal immigrants—many from Venezuela—while American citizens suffer steps away.
“These women? From Venezuela. Illegals,” Bergquam reported. “They’re blending them with homeless Americans to make it seem like it’s just one crisis. It’s not. This is deliberate.”
The video posted to his GETTR and X accounts (@BenBergquam) shows Bergquam navigating the area, speaking with homeless American women—Amy and her sister Tiffany—living on the streets.
“How long you been out here?” Bergquam asked.
“They’re working on getting us out… slowly,” Tiffany replied. “But the illegals—they get housing the same day.”
The contrast is clear. Across the street, migrants are protected, housed, and funded. Nearby, veterans and citizens are cold, ignored, and exposed.
“This is Biden’s America,” Bergquam said. “Tax dollars should go to Americans first—especially veterans. Not a dime should go to illegals.”
Chicago is now ground zero for what Bergquam calls the “industry of illegals,” echoing broader concerns about sanctuary cities and federal mismanagement.
“This isn’t just about immigration. There’s an entire business in keeping people homeless,” he warned. “Nonprofits and government contractors make money pretending to help, but they never fix it. They don’t want to.”
The video follows the release of a statement by Bergquam celebrating President Trump’s efforts:
“President Trump has shut down the border and is deporting them. Democrats? Protesting Trump and doubling down to protect illegals.”
“We The People support Trump. We The People support ICE. We The People stand against the left!”
Dem. Gov Prizker, who has been at war with Border Czar Tom Homan, has called for violence against Republicans in response to President Trump’s America First policies:
Calls to “#ArrestPritzker” and “#ArrestMayorJohnson” appeared alongside Bergquam’s post.
At the heart of Bergquam’s message is a direct challenge to Democrat leadership.
“You’ve got illegals sitting here, getting everything, while American citizens are beaten down,” he said. “There’s no justice in this. It’s upside down.”
As he wrapped his street-level tour, Bergquam gestured toward the shelter again: “This—this is what Democrats are defending. And this is what Trump is trying to stop.”
The footage is raw. The message is urgent.
“This isn’t about race. It’s about priorities,” Bergquam concluded. “It’s time to put Americans first. Period.”
