Soon to be Released: Both Peter Navarro and His New Book, The MAGA Deal, will be out Soon

Peter Navarro, the former trade adviser to Donald Trump, is set to release a book titled “The New Maga Deal: The Unofficial Deplorables Guide to Donald Trump’s 2024 Policy Platform” on July 16, just a day before his release from prison. Navarro, convicted of contempt of Congress for refusing to comply with a subpoena from the House January 6 committee, uses this book to defend his actions and elevate the America First MAGA movement.

Navarro talked about his book on the day he surrendered himself to Federal Prison to serve out a 4 month sentence in a Florida Federal Correctional facility:

Navarro criticizes the U.S. Department of Justice, alleging it “played dirty pool” by ignoring executive privilege policies. He also claims that his trial was unfair due to biased jurors and their exposure to anti-Trump protesters. Despite these grievances, Navarro’s own account of January 6 is filled with unfounded claims, such as alleging that the violence was instigated by FBI informants and facilitated by Capitol Hill police.

Navarro’s book, according to media, outlines what he believes should be legislative priorities for Trump’s potential second term. It includes contributions from notable figures like Russ Vought, former director of the Office of Management and Budget, Mike Davis, a candidate for U.S. Attorney General, and Frank Gaffney, a national security analyst with controversial views. The introduction, penned by Steve Bannon, host of the WarRoom program, another Trump aide convicted of contempt of Congress, who has praised Navarro as a “rock star of Trump’s first term.”

Before his time with Trump, Navarro was known as a Harvard-educated economist and an outspoken China critic. His prominence grew during the chaotic response to the COVID-19 pandemic and as a key architect of Trump’s attempts to overturn the 2020 election results. Navarro’s involvement in these efforts, mainly his “Green Bay sweep” plan to change election outcomes, led to his legal troubles and subsequent conviction by an unconstitutional House committee.

Despite his conviction and time in prison, Navarro remains defiant, using his book to rally support for Trump’s 2024 campaign and defend the MAGA movement.
