Attorney Marc E. Elias is a superhero to the Democrats for his willingness to break laws and be uncivil in the pursuit of overthrowing the system of government in the United States of America.
He is now in trouble for his disrespect of the court and for trying to bring a motion to the court that was previously dismissed.
In other words- he was lying and being deceitful.
His powerful allies, Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton, use him as a sort of pitbull- to attack people, places, and things that get in the way of their power grabs.
But currently, Elias is getting his backside handed to him over some highly corrupted moves on the courts.
5th Circuit sanctions Marc Elias and other Perkins Coie lawyers for ‘redundant and misleading’ motion
BY DEBRA CASSENS WEISS MARCH 15, 2021
A federal appeals court has sanctioned Perkins Coie attorneys who represent Democratic groups for a “redundant and misleading” motion in election litigation.
The 5th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals at New Orleans imposed the sanctions on lawyer Marc Elias and his legal team in a March 11 order, report Law360, Bloomberg Law, and Law.com. A March 12 press release is here.
The court imposed the sanctions in a case in which Perkins Coie lawyers argued that the elimination of straight-ticket voting in Texas disproportionately affected minorities.
The appeals court said the lawyers filed a Feb. 10 motion to supplement the record that was nearly identical to a Sept. 29, 2020, motion that they previously filed. The earlier motion was denied.
“This inexplicable failure to disclose the earlier denial of their motion violated their duty of candor to the court,” the court said.
Washington Free Beacon reported on the recent developments this week:
It’s not every day that a federal judge calls a lawsuit from one of the country’s top lawyers a nasty and partisan “Hail Mary pass” intended to undermine free and fair elections. But that’s what happened on Wednesday when U.S. District Judge Lewis Kaplan, a Clinton appointee, tossed out a lawsuit brought by Democratic superlawyer Marc Elias.
“In the 102 years since my father, then a Ukrainian refugee, came into this country, if there were two things that he drilled into my head, they were … free, open, rational elections [and] respect for the courts. The relief that I’m being asked to give today impinges, to some degree, on the public perception of both,” Kaplan said of the lawsuit, which sought to preserve redistricting lines in New York state that a court had already ruled unconstitutional. “And I’m not going to do that.”
In an attempt to shield communications between Fusion GPS and Rodney Joffe, a firm client hawking Russian collusion theories, Elias told Durham that he retained Fusion to support his legal work—and that, as a result, it is subject to attorney-client privilege. Durham was not having it: “The factual record and Fusion GPS’s own communications raise serious questions about this depiction,” he wrote.
Elias’s tactics are now drawing rebukes from judges, prosecutors, and even fellow Democrats, who say his hard-charging nature is hurting the party.
“Perjury, the crime of lying under oath, is a serious offense because it can derail the basic goal of the justice system—discovering the truth. Even the famous and the powerful have faced the consequences of perjury, which include prosecution, prison, and impeachment,” according to criminal defenseattirney.com.
Many people believe that Elias has been lying to the courts, and everyone else.
Marc E. Elias doesn’t like me very much because hours after my first article about him, on September 28 2020– highlighting his illegal actions in North Carolina in late September of 2020, Elias blocked me from his social media.
And he may have been hiding something he didn’t want me to see. He has since wiped out a number of tweets, apparently:
At the time, I was writing about the actions Elias was taking here in this state, which was the reason NC Lt. Gov at the time, and candidate for Governor, Republican Dan Forest, had contacted Bill Barr about how Elias was causing a ‘Civil Rights’ problems during our very, very long period of early voting- ahead of the 2020 Election.
Of course, Barr ignored Forest’s letter. But we knew what Elias was up to as early as Sept 25, yet no one came to our aid.
So this smackdown of Elias should be some sort of justification- I guess.
Elias was accused of a crime of justice. Let’s see if there are any consequences for lying to a court anymore.
According to HG.org, lying to the court is a crime of justice:
“Anyone who has ever had to rely on the testimony of others, whether in a criminal, civil, or administrative proceeding, has probably felt the cold knife of panic and disgust slice through their gut as someone testified in a manner they considered untruthful. Of course, many people can have many different interpretations of the same event, including some that seem wildly different than your recollection, simply because they had a different perspective.
But, what happens when someone says something that is undeniably a lie?
Perjury is a criminal act that occurs when a person lies or makes statements that are not truthful while under oath. For example, if a person is asked to testify in a criminal proceeding and they are under oath but do not tell the truth, they can be charged with perjury if it is discovered that they have lied. By committing perjury, people partake in the miscarriage of justice and corrupt the legal process. As a result, perjury is considered a very serious criminal offense, even though most people who lie under oath do not consider it to be very serious.
When people commit perjury, they disrupt the legitimate discovery of truth. For this reason, people who are charged with perjury may face a variety of severe legal ramifications if they are convicted. Some of these legal consequences may include having to spend time in jail, probation, or paying fines to the court. It can also interfere with their ability to obtain employment or security clearance, as they will be convicted of a crime of dishonesty.
This story is developing… time will tell whether Elias has special privileges to lie to the court so he can overthrow the US Republic- or not.
