INVASION: “An incursion by a large number of people or things into a place or sphere of activity. An unwelcome intrusion into another’s domain.”
Former Border Patrol Agent in charge of the Sanderson Texas Station, and current Sheriff of Terrell County, Texas, chatted with Ben Bergquam, host of Law and Border on Real America’s Voice to talk about the apprehension of illegal migrants and other invaders, who are crossing the border in his area. It is important to know that the numbers being given of those crossing- is over 5 times the population of the community he is responsible for protecting.
On May 17 when Thaddeus Cleveland was sworn into office he wrote on Facebook to mark the occasion:
“I consider myself Blessed and thank God for having the opportunity to serve the citizens of Terrell County. Having grown up in Terrell County and serving with the U.S. Border Patrol for 26 years, 11 of which were here in Sanderson, I believe I am positioned to assist the progression of Terrell County into the future. I truly love our County and promise you that I will do everything I can to not only keep you safe, but to serve you as well.”
Bergquam talked to Cleveland about numbers that should rivet law enforcement- in the following video, listen for the numbers of apprehensions of illegal invaders that this group of law enforcement has to deal with- and realize it is five times larger than the population of the county where he serves.
“We need a civilized process for letting people into our country at the port of entry. It is a solvable problem,” Cleveland told Bergqua
