Trump Curse: The FBI Was In Portland Riots, NYTimes Not Happy

Considering the complex hoaxes against the American people at the hands of the FBI leadership over the past five years, it is no wonder people are not sure how to feel about the news that FBI agents were a part of the most severe riots in the country to promote a Marxist ideology with Black Lives Matter.

In the Summer of 2020, The Washington Post was worried about the evidence that would come from President Donald J. Trump’s guidance to investigate the same deadly riots that broke out before the 2020 Presidential election:

“The Department of Homeland Security has compiled “intelligence reports” about the work of American journalists covering protests in Portland, Ore., in what current and former officials called an alarming use of a government system meant to share information about suspected terrorists and violent actors,” WaPo reported.

Discussion about Law enforcement’s understanding of these riots has resurfaced recently.

“The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) covertly infiltrated the 2020 Black Lives Matters protests in Portland and continued their surveillance months after the unrest.

Agents of the FBI stood “shoulder to shoulder” with activists, videotaping the demonstration and leading the local police towards potential arrests,” The Independent reported.

Considering the massive success Black Lives Matter had in reshaping American culture, politics, and government in such a short period of time, it is essential to understand the roles that all the players had – including the role of the FBI.

Independent journalist, Glenn Greenwald, posted a note on his Telegram page about the matter:

“The FBI used agents to infiltrate and spy on an anti-Biden march by left-wing protesters in Portland after his inauguration.

Again: authoritarian tools of censorship, spying, etc. are not used against left or right. They’re used against all dissidents,” Greenwald wrote.

But what was the FBI doing?  Were they investigating the usurpation by the Marxist left or were they instigating the riots to help the usurpations with their involvement, as we have seen in the Russian hoaxes and Jan. 6th political theater?

The far-left leaving,  New York Times broke the story and sounded unhappy about the FBI’s role:
The F.B.I. Deployed Surveillance Teams Inside Portland Protests:

Federal agents infiltrated Portland’s unruly racial justice protests, dressing to blend in and capturing clandestine video. The tactics raised internal concern.

PORTLAND, Ore. — In the hours after President Biden’s inauguration this year, protesters marched once again through the streets of Portland, Ore., sending a message that putting a Democrat in the White House would not resolve their problems with a system of policing and corporate wealth that they saw as fundamentally unfair.

“No cops, no prisons, total abolition,” they chanted. Some of the activists, dressed in the trademark uniform of solid black clothing and masks that often signals a readiness to make trouble without being readily identifiable, smashed windows at the local Democratic Party headquarters.

The event — like others that had consumed the city since the murder of George Floyd by a police officer in Minneapolis in 2020 — included a variety of anarchists, antifascists, communists and racial justice activists. But there were others mingling in the crowd that day: plainclothes agents from the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

The F.B.I. set up extensive surveillance operations inside Portland’s protest movement, according to documents obtained by The New York Times and current and former federal officials, with agents standing shoulder to shoulder with activists, tailing vandalism suspects to guide the local police toward arrests and furtively videotaping inside one of the country’s most active domestic protest movements.

Just The News reported that data was collected, and then ignored by Democrat Joe Biden.

“The FBI’s role expanded and lasted for months as activists began targeting storefronts and other properties.

Protest organizers and civil rights groups said surveillance agents having recording and followed protesters amid a demonstration was a form of domestic spying.

The agency has broad latitude to conduct surveillance when agents suspect threats to national security or that federal crimes may be committed, according to The Times.

The FBI’s special agent in charge of the Portland field office told the newspaper that the office was committed to pursuing “violent instigators who exploit legitimate, peaceful protests and engage in violations of federal law.”

Newsbusters reported on the story as well:

Fox News host Tucker Carlson has been lambasted by the media including the Times for his outlandish theories concerning the January 6 riots, including charging that FBI informants were among the mob. Now the Times is criticizing federal infiltration within a violent left-wing movement.

The breadth of F.B.I. involvement in Portland and other cities where federal teams were deployed at street protests became a point of concern for some within the bureau and the Justice Department who worried that it could undermine the First Amendment right to protest against the government, according to two officials familiar with the discussions.

After years of siccing Big Tech and social media on conservative groups in the name of fighting Covid disinformation and anti-trans hate speech, the Times cares about the First Amendment again, when it can be “weaponized” to protect the country’s far-left flank.

THEY WERE WARNED.

Going down a rabbit hole:

I wrote about these riots and the fact that they were being investigated, at the time. The surprise is that the data may come out and not be what the left wants to hear.
