Timestamp 36:11 captures the urgent plea for support, with officers scrambling to coordinate military reinforcements to assist the overwhelmed Capitol Police. The subsequent timestamp at 39:14 illustrates the palpable frustration and sense of betrayal among ill-prepared officers for the magnitude of the unfolding events.

Further insights from that documentary highlight the critical need for military reinforcements to quell the violence on January 6th. Despite the urgency conveyed by law enforcement, it wasn’t until later in the evening that the National Guard was mobilized, leaving Capitol Police feeling abandoned and betrayed.
No military presence would come until evening, even though President Trump had requested the National Guard much earlier.
TIMELINE FOR CLEARING TRUMP
