If a Republican did this, they’d be in jail.
Radical House Democrats, led by Reps. Rashida Tlaib and Maxine Waters, were caught on camera causing a scene at the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). Journalist Olivia Rondeau of Breitbart News witnessed the chaos firsthand.
“Witnessed Rashida Tlaib crashing out at a @HUDgov employee after being denied entry to the building with a cohort of other House Democrats,” Rondeau reported.
At the same time, Rep. Waters tried to force her way in to hand-deliver a letter condemning Donald Trump’s housing policies. The HUD chief of staff reportedly offered Waters a video of Trump’s accomplishments to watch in the lobby instead. The irony.
This spectacle isn’t just embarrassing—it raises a serious question. How is this not an insurrection?
Disrupting Government Business
The Democrats’ disruptive temper tantrums in a federal building comes on the same day that President Trump is set to deliver a historic address to Congress. Traditionally, a newly inaugurated president lays out their agenda in a joint session, setting the course for the administration’s next four years.
And yet, while Trump prepares to speak on America’s future, House Democrats are running around D.C., disrupting federal operations.
How is this different from what happened on January 6? Democrats have spent years crying about “interrupting official proceedings.” Yet here they are—doing exactly that.
Omar Promises “Defiance”
Democrats aren’t even hiding it. They’re openly admitting they plan to resist Trump’s presidency at every turn.
Rep. Ilhan Omar told MSNBC’s Jen Psaki exactly what’s coming.
“We shouldn’t be surprised if we see walkouts,” Omar said. “We shouldn’t be surprised if we see coordinated efforts, if we see people react to some of the lies that we know he is going to tell.”
In other words, the Left has already decided Trump’s presidency is illegitimate. Before he’s even delivered his speech, they’ve labeled his agenda “harmful” and are gearing up to disrupt it—by any means necessary.
Where have we seen this before?
The Insurrection Double Standard
Here’s the reality: Democrats don’t care about “defending democracy.” They care about power.
If a group of Republicans tantrumed in a federal building, yelled at employees, and tried to interfere with government proceedings, the FBI would be kicking down their doors by morning. Yet when Democrats do it, it’s just another Tuesday.
This is exactly why the American people don’t trust the media or the justice system anymore. The rules are different depending on who is in power.
Trump’s Speech: America First Is Back
While Democrats are busy staging their latest tantrum, President Trump is focused on the future. His address to Congress—set to begin at 9 p.m. ET—will lay out a bold vision for the next four years.
The theme? “The Renewal of the American Dream.”
Trump will outline his administration’s economic policies, border security efforts, and foreign policy plans. And unlike his critics, he won’t be hiding behind fake outrage.
“I will TELL IT LIKE IT IS!” Trump posted on Truth Social.
Time to Call It What It Is
If Democrats want to talk about “insurrections,” let’s talk about this. Let’s talk about how left-wing politicians are actively trying to undermine the government they were elected to serve.
Let’s talk about how they’ve spent years criminalizing their opposition while getting away with the same behavior themselves.
Americans deserve one set of rules. Not one for the Left and another for the Right.
If storming federal buildings, interrupting proceedings, and defying the sitting president is an “insurrection,” then let’s call it that. Or admit that the term was never about protecting democracy—it was always about political power.
