After months of campaigning, Republican presidential candidates will face the first-in-the-nation test during the Jan. 15 Iowa Caucuses.
To prepare for the caucuses, candidates have been hosting events for voters that are open to the public. However, one journalist reports that not everyone is welcome at the events.
Laura Loomer is being kicked out of every event she tries to cover this week in Iowa and that looks pretty unAmerican. This is especially disturbing when it is being done on behalf of someone who wants to break the “glass ceiling” as the first female president.
Yes, Loomer has been hard on Republican Presidential hopeful Nikki Haley. That is the duty of an American journalist- to warn the public. Freedom of the Press has been a foundational issue in Liberty and Freedom that Americans enjoy, and it is getting trampled by political creatures like Haley and her team, who do not want to answer any tricky questions at their public appearances.
Under the guise of having their campaign events in ‘private spaces,’ the Haley team has been kicking Loomer out of events all week, saying she is not wanted and not welcomed.
Loomer released a video on Tuesday, showing an associate of her’s being escorted out of a restaurant where Haley was speaking at a town hall, and it is just the most recent footage in a series of videos Loomer has posted on her X timeline this week of similar treatment at other Haley events:
“JUST IN: MEET ANDREW PATTERSON He is the Director of Events and Operations for Nikki Haley. I have positively identified him as the @NikkiHaley for President campaign official who threw an 18 year old zoomer voter and
@LoomerUnleashed correspondent into the middle of a snow storm and threatened to have him arrested by police unless he left Nikki Haley’s town hall in Waukee, IA this morning. In the video below, Andrew Patterson said, “I know you’re with Laura Loomer. If you don’t leave right now, I will have you arrested by the police.” Looks like Andrew Patterson is a wannabe dictator and an authoritarian like his boss, Neocon Nikki. Nikki Haley’s campaign is ANTI- FREE SPEECH. They are also cold hearted. Why would you tell an 18 year old, first time voter that you don’t care if they freeze in a snow storm in Iowa? The 18 year old doesn’t have a car. He got a ride to the event. He could freeze or get hypothermia in this weather. It just goes to show you that Nikki Haley really isn’t the maternal wife and mother she pretends to be on the campaign trail. What type of woman throws a teenager out into the middle of a blizzard? Disgusting behavior from a GOP Presidential candidate,” Loomer wrote with the following footage:
A journalist has a duty to warn the public of potential risks, issues, or concerns, and it is crucial to protect these rights for the public good. Whether it’s exposing corruption, highlighting safety hazards, or informing about impending dangers, journalists play a pivotal role in informing and empowering the public to make informed decisions.
Loomer posted other disturbing footage of an interview of an earlier ejection from a Haley public event:
The Presidential candidates who are kicking Loomer out of events are doing a disservice to the American people. Loomer has had run-ins with DeSantis staff as well.
Yes, Loomer is a firebrand, and she is aggressive, but politicians and other power seekers need to learn how to work with people who aggressively protect their Civil liberties.
That is the whole point of America.
The reaction we see might be that the Haley team wants Loomer removed because they know she will ask the hard questions that they don’t want to answer. However disruptive Loomer can be, she also exposes the lies politicians tell as seen in this post of Loomer’s as seen in the following X post:
There are many other ways to handle this situation, and just kicking people into the snow, and it is terrible optics and PR.
Our own Ben Bergquam, a correspondent for Real America’s Voice, has also been kicked out of covering challenging topics – too- and prevented from seeking answers to hard questions. It seems to be an escalating theme for the powerful to deny press access.
America is seeing an escalation of aggression and even violence toward journalists- who are trying to carry out their duty.
Here are some of our examples of what has happened to Bergquam:
We at Frontline America stand with our friend and fellow journalist, Laura Loomer, as she does her duty to the American people.
Stay warm, Laura.
