Raid Fallout! Independents Join GOP And Are More Likely To Vote Now- Poll

The first national poll on the Florida raid of the home of President Donald J. Trump was released on Wednesday, and it shows that Democrats have lost Independent voters.
The FBI executed a search warrant Monday at Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago resort in Palm Beach, Florida, as part of an investigation into the handling of presidential documents, including classified documents, that may have been brought there, three people familiar with the situation told CNN.

The former President confirmed that FBI agents were at Mar-a-Lago and said “they even broke into my safe.” He was at Trump Tower in New York when the search warrant was executed in Florida, a person familiar told CNN.

“My beautiful home, Mar-A-Lago in Palm Beach, Florida, is currently under siege, raided, and occupied by a large group of FBI agents,” Trump said in a statement Monday evening.

The extraordinary move to search the home of a former president raises the stakes for the Justice Department and comes as Trump’s legal problems continue on multiple fronts. Trump is also expected in the coming months to announce he will launch another bid for the White House in 2024.

“Large Majority of Independents, Republicans Believe Trump’s Political Enemies are Behind FBI Raid,” the Talfagar Group reported about their findings in a poll for Convention of the States.

83% of Republicans, 72% of Independents Now More Likely to Vote in the 2022 Midterm Elections as a Result of FBI Raid

(Austin, TX—Aug 10, 2022) Convention of States Action, in partnership with The Trafalgar Group—one of America’s most accurate pollsters in 2016, 2018, 2020, and 2021—is releasing the results of a new national survey. Results were from surveys conducted from August 9th through August 10th of over 1,000 likely 2022 election voters.

“Independent and Republican voters are united in their outrage about this unprecedented and tragic event in American history. It’s clear to voters that the FBI raid is designed to punish the primary political enemy of the regime in power,” said Mark Meckler, President of the Convention of States. “This gestapo-style injustice has created a voting surge that is so significant, the polling doesn’t even begin to reflect what is coming from grassroots voters in November.”
